I lived far from home for many years, moving to different cities between Italy and Central America – more details here link – but the desire of staying close to my family made me return to the place I was born. Since I settled down in Altamura (Puglia), more than ten years ago, I have never abandoned the idea of being a global citizen who knows no geographical or cultural barriers. This state of mind makes me feel incredibly alive and that’s why I always get excited when it comes to destination weddings – more and more people from abroad choose Puglia as a place to get married and also local couples often have guests coming from all over the world.
I prefer to talk personally with the spouses (in Italian, English or Spanish) and thanks to my staff – especially Annarita Ardino – I get to know their stories deeper and deeper. Stories are the most captivating part of my job as a photographer, because they allow me to connect with people and to please my curiosity. I love to learn about different lifestyles, traditions and experiences – sometimes I even find that they are not so different from mine!
Having said that, it’s always a pleasure for me to work on this type of wedding… especially at I Luoghi di Pitti.
Every time I step in here, I am enchanted by the beauty of nature that surrounds the masseria, but what amazes me the most is the courteous and warm treatment reserved to guests. The staff of I Luoghi di Pitti embodies the values of passion for work, attention to detail, commitment and politeness, which help them deliver an extremely professional service on every occasion.
I have known the people who work here for many years (www.luigiporzia.com/blog/wedding-in-i-luoghi-di-pitti) and I am not lying when I say that this place feels like home to me. The feeling of friendship that binds me to the owners (Moramarco’s family) and the entire staff is something so authentic and sincere that even an ordinary working day become a memory to cherish.
I believe that all guests, whether they are Italian or foreign, perceive the same kindness and professionalism, while collecting unforgettable moments to keep in the heart forever. No wonder someone later returns with family or friends.

When I say perfect, I mean completely suitable. This venue has the features to host and customize any kind of event thanks to its numerous spaces: the arched reception hall, the green lawn gardens, the square with elliptical shape, the amphitheater, the area of sun sails, the elegant hotel rooms and the hypogeum sites make this timeless farmhouse a masterpiece of architecture in the Apulian panorama.
When I take photographs at I Luoghi di Pitti, I can breathe freedom… to move around without limitations and to experience new photographic styles and techniques. Thanks also to this constant experimentation, I got aware that I prefer photographic reportage and candid shots – I always try to capture unique emotions – but I continue taking posed pictures, as required by Apulian tradition (without stealing too much time to the spouses in their special day).
